Oil Prices Go Down
The price of crude oil has recently fallen.
The price of a barrel of crude oil went as low as $59.87.
The International Energy Agency (IEA) said the price has fallen due to the fact demand was down 2.9% this year. Experts say that the price of oil won't go back up till 2010.
This time last year a barrel of oil cost $147, the highest since records began.
So, if you own a massive oil company it's bad news. But if you are trying to save money at the pumps, it's great news!
Editor's Opinion
The price of oil has went to low. All economies rely on oil, as they gain a lot of money from it. At least £0.65p of every pound sold at the pumps is VAT, duty and tax. Oil should steady itself out at around $70 a barrel, but the government should lower fuel taxes.

Lighting Storm Delays Shuttle Launch
NASA Officials have said that Space Shuttle Endeavour was meant to take off in mid-June but both attempts were called off due to a potential dangerous leak in the hydrogen vent system, which is to do with its fuel. If hydrogen were to leak, when the shuttle's engines ignite the hydrogen would catch fire and cause a disaster.
But NASA has said they will try again today to launch the Endeavour as it will play an important part in the building of the International Space Station (ISS). The Shuttle is to take and install the the last part of the Japan's Space Station Lab that is attached the ISS.
Once Endeavour launches, it will be the 127th space shuttle flight and the 29th to the ISS.
The Space Shuttle Program still has 7 more flights until its retirement in 2010.

15 British Troops Killed in 10 days
This week, 15 British Troops have been killed in Afghanistan. This brings the total British fatalities to 184 since the operations began in 2001.
This means that with 184 British troops dead, the number of deaths in Afghanistan has overtaken the number of deaths in Iraq which stood at 179.
The Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, has defended the government's current strategy. He said the strategy is the correct one to use but ahead lies 'a dangerous battle'. The Prime Minister said that the operations in Afghanistan were to prevent terrorism coming to the United Kingdom.
Anti-war protesters have said that the war is 'unwinnable'.
The main assault against the Taliban in the Helmand province was to tighten security for the country's general elections next month.
Editor's Opinion
I think that if we are to send troops to Afghanistan, we have to supply them with the best weapons, equipment and vehicles. One issue that we can stop is the drugs grown in the country. If we killed off as many drugs as we could, that would save even more people in this country. All you would need is a lot of strong weed-killer and troops to destroy the drugs. The UN won't do anything, so I think that the UK and US should.
